Something big is happening at the BERNEXPO site!
Initial building work for the reconstruction of the old Festhalle on the BERNEXPO site started in early January 2023 and will be in full swing during Suisse Public 2023. To make it as easy and hassle-free as possible for you to get to Messeplatz and find your way to Suisse Public, please follow the directions provided.
Arriving by public transport
We recommend arriving by public transport. Due to the construction work on the BERNEXPO site, we recommend arriving at the ”Wankdorf Center” tram stop rather than at “Guisanplatz Expo”.
From Bern central station, take the no. 9 tram to “Wankdorf Center” or the no. 20 bus to the end of the line at “Wankdorf Bahnhof”, then take the no. 9 tram to the “Wankdorf Center” stop or walk the 10-minute route.
Take the S-Bahn (suburban train) from Bern to the “Bern Wankdorf” stop (S1, S2, S3, S4, S44), then take the no. 9 tram to the “Wankdorf Center” stop or walk the 10-minute route.
Arriving by car
The BERNEXPO site is a few hundred metres away from the Wankdorf motorway junction. Exit the motorway and follow the signs for “BERNEXPO”/“expo”. The visitor car park is on Wölflistrasse (Ostermundigen). From here, you can either walk (which takes around 15 minutes) or take the free shuttle bus to the exhibition premises.
Parking and parking charges
Daily from midnight to midnight. There is a daily rate for the car park (CHF 14.00; payable in cash or via TWINT).
